May Fundraiser Recap
In honor of Moms and to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the presence of Congregation Notre Dame in Vietnam, JISF members and volunteers were happy to introduce ourselves to our Orange County community in a fundraiser, Joy In Every Step, on May 3, 2025.
A special guest at this event was Sr. M. Goretti Phi from the Ai Linh Congregation in HCM City. Thank you, Sr. Phi, for your gracious and helpful presence, and for getting us acquainted with your work in Thanh An Boarding House and Anh Linh Love School.
Our gratitude goes to our beloved elder sisters (les anciennes du Couvent des Oiseaux) from Notre Dame du Langbian, Notre Dame du Rosaire, et Regina Mundi who unstintingly gave their time and support to our endeavors. Our special thanks go to all our schoolmates and volunteers who literally rolled up their sleeves to help make this event a memorable one, and to all donors who could not be present in person but kept us in mind with encouraging words and generous gifts.
Our list of family members and esteemed guests is long, and we wish to acknowledge each and every one of you by releasing a summary of JISF’s earnings up to our May 3, 2025 fundraiser.

Proceeds from raffle ticket sales - 23,410$
Proceeds from our silent auction - 13,164$
It goes without saying we could not achieve these results without everyone doing his part. We are deeply grateful and energized by your good will and best wishes.
A l’occasion de la fête des Mères en mai et pour fêter les 90 ans de la présence de la Congrégation Notre Dame au Vietnam, nous sommes très heureuses d’accueillir nos invités et amis de longue date à notre levée de fonds pour JISF le 3 mai, 2025, à Huntington Beach en Californie.
En cette joyeuse occasion, nous avons eu l’honneur et le plaisir d’avoir eu parmi nous Sr. M. Goretti Phi. Merci, Sr. Phi, pour votre gracieuse présence et pour votre introduction du Foyer pour Jeunes Filles Thanh An et de l’Ecole gratuite Anh Linh.
Nous sommes reconnaissantes à nos soeurs aînées de Notre Dame du Rosaire, Notre Dame du Langbian, et Regina Mundi qui nous ont montré le chemin vers autrui et nous ont généreusement fait cadeau de leur temps et soutien.
Un grand merci à tous nos invités, nos supporters et volontaires, familles et compagnes de classe. Votre dévouement, vos chansons, et vos éclats de rire nous ont donné une seconde jeunesse. Sans vous, cet événement n’aurait pu se concevoir.

Để mừng Ngày của Mẹ và đánh dấu 90 năm từ ngày thành lập các trường của Dòng Đức Bà tại Việt Nam, hội JISF được hân hạnh đón tiếp quý ân nhân đến cuộc gây quỹ đầu tiên của chúng tôi tại Huntington Beach, CA vào ngày 3 tháng 5, 2025 vừa qua.
Chúng tôi đã có cơ hội đón tiếp một quan khách đặc biệt từ Việt Nam, Sr. M. Goretti Phi. Ngay sau khi đáp xuống phi trường, Sr. Phi đã bắt tay vào việc và giúp chuẩn bị cho ngày gây quỹ. Chúng tôi xin thành thật cám ơn Sr. Phi đã đóng góp vào chương trình và nói về Lưu Xá Thạnh An và trường Ánh Linh, hai ngôi sao sáng trong công trình giáo dục trẻ con tại Việt Nam của Dòng Đức Bà.
Chúng tôi xin thành thật cảm ơn và tỏ lòng kính mến đối với các chị cựu học sinh của ba trường NDL, NDR, và RM đã biếu tặng thời gian quý báu và đã nêu lên tinh thần vị tha và tấm lòng tha thiết đối với trường xưa.
Đồng thời đây là một cơ hội hiếm có cho các chị em cựu học sinh DĐB và thân hửu bắt tay vào một công cuộc đầy ý nghĩa và hứng thú. Xin cám ơn tất cả hội viên và tình nguyện viên làm việc hăng say và cống hiến cho chương trình thêm phong phú trước và trong ngày hôm ấy. Xin thành thật cám ơn các cháu đã ra công giúp cho hôm ấy thêm vui và hào hứng.
Thưa quý ân nhân và quan khách, chúng tôi xin cảm tạ từng quý vị và xin quý vị rộng lòng tha thứ cho nếu có những chuyện sơ sót xảy ra ngoài ý muốn. Sau đây, chúng tôi xin thông báo kết quả của cuộc gây quỹ để nói lên lòng biết ơn của chúng tôi đối với quý vị.
